I was a bit hesitant to make this post since it should be pretty apparent that Yugioh Top Decks, Yugioh Deck Builder, and yes even Yugioh Pack Simulator (you know, the one we’ve ignored it for a couple years now) are back online, but I figured I would anyway just to make an official statement and give yal a little peek behind the scenes.
For the last couple of weeks the power supply for the server that hosts those websites has been slowly dying. At first we weren’t 100% sure if it was the power supply or not, all we knew for sure was that the server was sporadically rebooting out of nowhere and it was probably hardware related. To make matters worse, the server in question is in a different state and so we were stuck trying to diagnose potential problems remotely and coaxing the data center staff to run down to our rack to try fiddling with a couple of hardware things for us. Anyway, long story short, our data center IT people finally got a new power supply swapped in today and we’re back in business.
I apologize for the downtime and just want to assure you all that we are not gone for good, and that barring any sudden catastrophic hardware failures, we should be back to 100% uptime as per usual.
